Property Preservation Office Equipment
Office equipment for your property preservation business is not much different from that needed by any business. You must have computers, a high speed internet connection, phones, at least one fax machine, telephones and all of the small stuff that goes along with running any business.
One item you might not yet realize you are going to need is some high capacity online storage for documents and pictures. Our office uses two network attached storage devices with two removable hard drives each. The hard drives are mirrored meaning that they each contain identical data – one a copy of the other. When these drives approach 75% or 80% of capacity, two new drives are inserted and the old drives are archived. We keep one of the archive drives on site in case we need to extract a document or picture and the other drive is stored in a bank safe deposit box.
